AKC Fit Dog Level 1 Online

AKC Fit Dog Level 1 courses offer fun, comprehensive fitness training for healthy dogs. Taught by AKC approved Fit Dog Instructors, your dog will learn foundation fitness behaviors, such as nose touches, tuck sit, fold down, kick back stand, spins, cavalettis and a lot more. This course is tailored specifically for beginner dogs and handlers. With a focus on building strength, balance and flexibility your dog will engage in fun and effective exercises to improve overall fitness and confidence. Warm up and cool down tips and suggestions are included with each chapter. This is a self paced course where you work through one chapter's challenges every week. Each video tutorial and written "lecture" details proper form, prop set up, reward placement, troubleshooting tips and explains the purpose of each activity. By the end of each week, you should know what activities to work on, how to do them and why we do them this way. You're encouraged to show me videos each week as you work through your assignments.   You'll have a happier, healthier dog while earning points toward any AKC Fit Dog Title and access to a community of other dog enthusiasts and handlers.
